In Texas, individuals born after September 1st, 1993, are required to hold a boater's license. However, Rentable Recreation does not mandate possessing one for jet ski rentals. It's important to note that operating without a license carries the risk of receiving a ticket if stopped by the game warden.

 Alternatively, you may purchase a one-time 15-day deferment from any establishment that sells fishing licenses or online at Texas Parks & Wildlife

While not required by us, we strongly encourage obtaining your boater's certificate to ensure compliance with state regulations and promote safe boating practices. Your safety and enjoyment on the water are our priorities.

 Unfortunately, we do not deliver to Joe Pool Lake. The park manager has set a clear policy against jet ski companies operating within the park. While some companies might attempt to bypass these restrictions, our vehicles are clearly marked with our jet ski rental branding, which prevents us from gaining access. We prioritize operating within the bounds of local regulations and promoting safe, responsible practices, so we adhere strictly to these guidelines. 

The variation in minimum hours is due to the distance we need to travel. Longer distances increase our fuel costs and take us away from local areas with high foot traffic, which can impact our overall operations. We adjust our minimum hours to account for these factors and ensure that each delivery is economically viable for us.

 No problem! If you've never ridden a jet ski before, that's perfectly fine. At our facility, we welcome first-timers and prioritize your safety and enjoyment. We understand that learning something new can be intimidating, which is why we take the time to educate you on the common do's and don'ts of riding a jet ski safely.  To provide you with even more useful information, we have created a comprehensive Beginners Guide.  All of our rentals include the following: 

•  One tank of fuel: We provide a full tank of fuel to ensure you have a hassle-free experience on the water. 
• Life jackets: Your safety is our top priority. We provide life jackets for all occupants of the rental. 

  For every rental, we require a $250 per ski deposit hold. The deposit must be made with a major credit card and is held at the beginning of the rental. It will be released within 48 hours after the rental of the watercraft, provided there is no damage.  Please note that the renter is responsible for any damage that may have occurred during the rental period. Additionally, if a ski is disabled due to any damage that occurred during the rental period, the renter is responsible for reimbursing any lost revenue.

                                 Our rental requirements are as follows:   

• To rent a watercraft, you must be 21 years of age or older and provide a valid state ID along with a major credit card. - 
• For solo riders, the minimum age requirement is 18 years old, and a signed waiver is mandatory. -
•  According to state law, anyone born after September 1st, 1993, must complete a mandatory boater education to operate a personal watercraft. You can obtain your certificate for free online by visiting  HERE

 Each jet ski can accommodate up to three adults or a total weight of 495 pounds. However, for a more comfortable ride, we recommend having two people per ski. This ensures a smoother and enjoyable experience on the water. 

 Your scheduled time marks the beginning of your jet ski adventure. To ensure a smooth experience, we kindly request that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. This will allow us to provide a quick orientation and ensure that you are properly fitted with life jackets. To avoid any potential delays, we strongly recommend completing the rental agreement and signing all waivers in advance.  Unless we are the reason for a late start, we will not extend the time without an extra charge. We encourage our guests to complete all necessary forms online prior to arriving to expedite the process.  To make your experience as smooth as possible, we kindly request that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. This will allow us to provide a seamless orientation and ensure that you are properly prepared for your jet ski adventure.  Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to providing you with a fantastic experience!" 

 Absolutely! As long as we don't have another customer directly after you, we can definitely add more time to your rental. We want to ensure that you have the best experience possible, so if you're enjoying your time on the jet ski and would like to extend your rental, just let us know and we'll be happy to accommodate you. Please keep in mind that additional charges will apply for the extended rental time. Enjoy your ride and have a great time on the water! 

 Unfortunately, we can no longer allow towing with our jet skis. This is because it is very easy for the rope to get sucked up in the jet pump, which can cause damage to the ski and result in it being out of commission for the day. This would end your ride early and also cause us to cancel any rentals that may have been scheduled after yours. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we prioritize the safety and enjoyment of all our customers. 

1.  If you roll the jet ski over, turn off the engine immediately by pulling the lanyard.  
2. Go to the back of the watercraft and check for a sticker that indicates the correct direction to flip the jet ski back over. If there is no sticker, turn it in a clockwise direction.  
3. Flip the jet ski back over as quickly as possible to prevent water from entering the hull.  
4. If the jet ski has been flipped for more than 5 minutes, do not attempt to start the engine. This could mean that the engine has ingested water and is now hydrolocked. Starting a hydrolocked engine will cause damage.  
5. If the jet ski has been flipped for less than 5 minutes and you flipped it in the correct direction, try to start the engine. If the engine does not crank, do not try multiple times. Instead, get towed to land.  
6. If the engine starts and everything seems normal, you can resume your ride as usual. However, if the engine doesn't sound right, shut it off immediately and contact us for further assistance.
