Beat the Triple Digits: Your Ultimate Weekend Guide at Grapevine Lake
With temperatures soaring into the triple digits, there is no better way to stay cool than on the water at Meadowmere Park.
The North Texas sun is turning up the volume this weekend, with temperatures expected to hit 102 degrees throughout the area. While a Heat Advisory is in place, the most effective way to beat the triple digits is to head straight to the water. At Rentable Recreation in Meadowmere Park, we are ready to help you find your personal oasis on Grapevine Lake. Current lake levels are sitting at a stable 534.27 feet, which is just about perfect for getting out on a jet ski. With surface water temperatures hovering around 84 degrees, you will find the refreshing escape you need to handle the August heat. Just remember to pack the sunscreen and stay hydrated, as the UV index will be at a peak of 11 plus. Beyond the lake, Grapevine is buzzing with local energy. It is an exciting week for our community, especially following the recent announcement that Grapevine-Colleyville ISD earned an impressive A rating from the Texas Education Agency. If you are looking to round out your weekend with some local flavor, you have plenty of options. Catch the Rumble Kings at Tolbert’s on Friday, browse the Shopping Days Vendor Market on Saturday, or even squeeze in a visit to the Dinosaur Quest at the Tower Gallery before it concludes later this month. For those who enjoy a bit of history with their entertainment, the Grapevine Vintage Railroad is back in action with their classic train robber performances, providing a fun contrast to our high-speed jet ski adventures. As you plan your itinerary, remember that while the heat is significant, the breeze on the lake remains favorable. Whether you are looking for a weekend full of live music at Peace Plaza or a quiet Saturday afternoon of blind wine tasting, your home base should be the water. We are fully operational and prepared to get you out on the waves for a thrill that keeps you cool despite the scorching forecast. Do not let the heat keep you indoors this weekend.
