Frequently Asked Questions

If you cannot find an answer to your question. Please send us your question here.

Rentable Recreation LLC is the ONLY authorized jet ski rental company at Grapevine Lake, operating exclusively inside Meadowmere Park (3000 Meadowmere Ln, Grapevine, TX 76051).

We are fully licensed and insured and proudly serve as the official Concierge Services of Grapevine. With the exception of the marinas, all other jet ski rental companies operating in Grapevine are unauthorized and subject to trespass enforcement.

Why rent with us?

  • On-site rentals – no trailering, no towing, no hassle

  • Clean, well-maintained jet skis

  • Friendly, professional service

  • FREE park admission with advance booking

  • Fully insured – your safety and peace of mind matter to us

  • Family-owned and operated – local business you can trust

Important:
If you're renting from an unauthorized operator, you may be left holding the bag in the event of an accident. These companies often lack proper insurance, which could expose you to serious legal and financial consequences.

                                            Don't take that risk.

In Texas, individuals born on or after September 1st, 1993, are required to hold a boater's license. It's important to note that operating without a license carries the risk of receiving a ticket if stopped by the game warden.

For those interested in obtaining a boater's certification you can take the course for free at BoatUS.

Alternatively, you may purchase a one-time 15-day deferment from any establishment that sells fishing licenses or online at Texas Parks & Wildlife

We strongly encourage obtaining your boater's certificate to ensure compliance with state regulations and promote safe boating practices. Your safety and enjoyment on the water are our priorities.

If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out. We're here to assist you in planning a fantastic experience.

Unfortunately, we do not deliver to Joe Pool Lake. The park manager has made it clear that jet ski companies are not welcome, and while some might try to get around these policies, we believe in playing by the rules. Our vehicles are proudly marked with our branding, so we can’t sneak past any restrictions — and we wouldn’t want to anyway.

Plus, let’s be real: Meadowmere Park on Lake Grapevine is far more scenic, less crowded, and offers a much better riding experience. If you ask us, we think it’s a win-win!

No problem! If you've never ridden a jet ski before, that's perfectly fine. At our facility, we welcome first-timers and prioritize your safety and enjoyment. We understand that learning something new can be intimidating, which is why we take the time to educate you on the common do's and don'ts of riding a jet ski safely.  To provide you with even more useful information, we have created a comprehensive Beginners Guide. This guide will give you step-by-step instructions, tips, and advice to help you feel confident and prepared before hitting the water. Whether it's understanding the controls, learning basic maneuvers, or practicing safety precautions, our guide has got you covered.  So, feel free to check out our Beginners Guide for all the necessary information you need to have a fantastic and safe experience riding a jet ski. We can't wait to introduce you to the exhilarating world of jet skiing.

All of our rentals include the following:

  •  One tank of fuel: We provide a full tank of fuel to ensure you have a hassle-free experience on the water.
  • Life jackets: Your safety is our top priority. We provide life jackets for all occupants of the rental.

Rental Insurance & Damage Deposit Policy

A deposit is only required if you choose to decline the optional $25.00 insurance per jet ski. If you decline the insurance, a $250 damage deposit per jet ski will be held on your major credit card at the start of your rental. The deposit will be released within 48 hours after the rental period ends, provided there’s no damage to the watercraft.

Insurance Coverage: The optional insurance covers up to $1,000 in damages, giving you added peace of mind. However, it does not cover the loss of life jackets or damage to the impeller caused by rocks or debris sucked up while riding in shallow water.

Please note:

  • If you purchase insurance, you’ll be responsible for any damage over $1,000.

  • If you decline insurance, you’re responsible for the full cost of any damage.

  • Renters are also fully responsible for any lost equipment (life jackets, etc.) or damage to the jet ski impeller caused by shallow water debris.

We aim to keep things fair, safe, and fun for everyone. Thanks for helping us make that possible!

Rental Requirements

To ensure a safe and responsible experience on the water, please review our rental requirements:

  • Renter Requirements: You must be 21 years of age or older to rent a watercraft. A valid state ID and major credit card are required at the time of rental.

  • Solo Riders: Solo riders must be at least 18 years old and must sign a liability waiver before operating a jet ski.

  • Boater Education: In accordance with Texas state law, anyone born after September 1, 1993, must complete an approved boater education course to operate a personal watercraft. You can obtain your certificate online for free by visiting HERE.

  • Alternatively, you may purchase a one-time 15-day deferment from any establishment that sells fishing licenses or online at Texas Parks & Wildlife

  • Operator Restrictions: The primary operator—and any additional operators—may not operate the vessel if they have been arrested for DUI, DWI, BUI, BWI, or any similar infraction within the past 3 years.

Your safety (and the safety of others) is our top priority—thank you for riding responsibly!

  •   Skis are technically rated for 3 people.

  • In reality, 3 adults = tipping over or sinking.

  • We limit it to 2 riders per ski, 495 lbs max total.

  • With 3 people, it becomes unstable and almost impossible to climb back on if you fall.

  • Two riders = faster, safer, and way more fun. Ride smart — or swim hard.

Your scheduled time marks the beginning of your jet ski adventure. To ensure a smooth experience, we kindly request that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. This will allow us to provide a quick orientation and ensure that you are properly fitted with life jackets. To avoid any potential delays, we strongly recommend completing the rental agreement and signing all waivers in advance. Conveniently, you can find links to these documents in the confirmation email

Unless we are the reason for a late start, we will not extend the time without an extra charge. We encourage our guests to complete all necessary forms online prior to arriving to expedite the process.  To make your experience as smooth as possible, we kindly request that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. This will allow us to provide a seamless orientation and ensure that you are properly prepared for your jet ski adventure.  Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to providing you with a fantastic experience!"

Absolutely! As long as we don't have another customer directly after you, we can definitely add more time to your rental. We want to ensure that you have the best experience possible, so if you're enjoying your time on the jet ski and would like to extend your rental, just let us know and we'll be happy to accommodate you. Please keep in mind that additional charges will apply for the extended rental time. Enjoy your ride and have a great time on the water!

Unfortunately, we can no longer allow towing with our jet skis. This is because it is very easy for the rope to get sucked up in the jet pump, which can cause damage to the ski and result in it being out of commission for the day. This would end your ride early and also cause us to cancel any rentals that may have been scheduled after yours. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we prioritize the safety and enjoyment of all our customers.

  1.  If you roll the jet ski over, turn off the engine immediately by pulling the lanyard.
  2. Go to the back of the watercraft and check for a sticker that indicates the correct direction to flip the jet ski back over. If there is no sticker, turn it in a clockwise direction.
  3. Flip the jet ski back over as quickly as possible to prevent water from entering the hull.
  4. If the jet ski has been flipped for more than 5 minutes, do not attempt to start the engine. This could mean that the engine has ingested water and is now hydrolocked. Starting a hydrolocked engine will cause damage.
  5. If the jet ski has been flipped for less than 5 minutes and you flipped it in the correct direction, try to start the engine. If the engine does not crank, do not try multiple times. Instead, get towed to land.
  6. If the engine starts and everything seems normal, you can resume your ride as usual. However, if the engine doesn't sound right, shut it off immediately and contact us for further assistance.
  7. For a quick demonstration on how to perform these steps, you can watch this video: video
